So, my recent trip to Kohler, Wisconsin and the Kohler manufacturing plant got me thinking about how interior designers use fixtures as part of the design process. The event brought designers and building professionals from all over the US to see Kohler's products, experience them first hand and learn about the technology used to create these quality fixtures. For the team at JBi, plumbing fixtures play an incredibly important role, so much that they are often the first items selected in the bathroom design process. Fixtures can instill a sense of history in a space, bring in a playful element, or be the basis for a clean and contemporary design. Here are some of my favorite fixtures right now.

One of my favorite bathrooms recently is the one below. We used Zucchetti throughout, a stunningly beautiful line from Italy. The lav faucet has an updated cross-handle aesthetic, but is clearly on the more contemporary side.

In this same home, we had the opportunity to use Waterworks for the first time. For a powder room, we selected a fixture from the Studio line. See all the Roadster line has to offer here.

And, one of my favorite lines is the PuraVida line from Hansgrohe. I love the simple, graceful curves. We haven't specified these fixtures for any projects yet, but not without trying!

Sometimes we select a fixture not because of the extra "bling" it brings to a space, but because of it's simplicity and beauty. In this master bathroom remodel completed a couple of years ago, we selected  trough lav faucets and tub filler from Aquabrass from the "loveme" collection (link) in a brushed nickel. All about function, shape and grace.
